I ate sushi at university. I hated it. But this was the best sushi ever. If anyone wants to try sushi for the first time this is your place.

Unexpectedly great sushi restaurant! Tried the Rainbow Roll, salmon roll, veggie Spring Rolls. Can't wait to go back & try more.

Best sushi I've ever had in my life. Long wait but definitely worth it, I understood why shortly after trying my entree. The waitress was very skilled and informed, perfect service for perfect food.

Boba Fett roll was to die for. We were used to lower quality so we got 2 rolls each. 1 is plenty! Highly recommended.

Best sushi I've had since leaving Hawaii! Went here with my mom for my birthday today. We didn't know they closed at 230 but even though we showed up at 220 they never made us feel unwelcome. Friendly waitress who was quick to bring out drinks and veggie tempura appetizer. We got the tempura salmon roll which was absolutely stuffed with fresh filling! And the Yogi flame which also was incredible. The warm crab and scallop topping was an amazing addition to an already great roll. This is officially my new favorite sushi place I will be back regularly. Best sushi in brevard for sure!

Consistently great food. The chef really cares about quality and brings in interesting cuts of fish to try from all over the world. Stylish, romantic atmosphere with great lighting. Creative food presentation. The spicy tuna crispy rice roll is fantastic. The serves are always nice. Umami is a rare gem in Melbourne.

Umami is the perfect name for this restaurant!They consistently outshine every other sushi place I have been to locally. I've had my fair share of sushi in major metropolitan cities, and they stand up to those. Great date night atmosphere, extensive sake menu, love the bulgogi if you are anti-seafood. Below is spicy salmon, spicy crunchy tuna, and King of the North rolls.

The best around. Attention to detail. Combinations of flavor to excite the entire tongue in one bite, paired with mouth-watering herb toppings, led by enticing presentation for the eyes. Order multiple rolls to share and some precisely-cut individual pieces on special.

Now that they have takeout the sitting is a lot faster than before. The food is fresh and delicious. Love the creativity in names and dishes.

I visited for the first time with a friend and this is the best sushi place I've come across! Very fresh fish, beautiful presentation of the food, relaxing and clean environment, and good customer service. I will be returning!

Everything we had was really really delicious, although a bit pricey but was definitively worth it! Everything was freshly made, double tuna roll, takoyaki , the king of the north (love The GoT reference ) and some nigiris. The service was great also, definitely my go to sushi place in Melbourne, keep up with the great work guys!

Just had an amazing dinner from Umami Restaurant & Sushi Bar! I had a Philadelphia, Cajun Salmon, and Heisenberg roll. The balance and waves of flavor kinda took me by suprise. The Cajun Salmon had a light smoky favor with a spicy that hit at the end - so good. The Heisenberg was huge, but so delicate with a creamy lightness. SO GOOD!Mom had the 5-Spice Calamari (again so delicate) and Teriyaki w tofu. Really great flavor.This place may become a habit.

Came here for my birthday and had an overall excellent dining experience. From the speed of service which could seem a little pushy at first, but rest assured they will let you take your time if you just let them know; to the quality of everything on your plate, from avocado to yellowtail, the attention to detail and freshness of the product speaks for itself. The fun, innovative, and “out of the box” style thinking of rolls using modern flavor combinations, and techniques are only matched the great sake menu. Do yourself a favor and ask to sit at the bar to watch the masters at work, and maybe get a tip of what you should try next...the specials board was wonderful as well and we even tried some fish “never frozen” from Japan which was life changing for my dining companion. We hope to return soon and often. Keep up the great work!
